The room was tiny, around 12 square meters, and dirty, with dust, grease, and sand everywhere. There was no toilet paper, the commode was damaged, and the flush leaked all night. I also found a balloon and a suitcase inside the cabinet, which was frightening. A pillow had a blood stain, and the raised, loose floor mosaic was sharp and dangerous. I booked through Agoda, where the listing said king bed and 30 square meters, but on arrival I was offered only a queen-size room. The manager said their king beds are smaller than normal and more like queens. Calling a queen a king feels like a scam. I paid to stay in what felt like an abandoned house.

We stayed just one night in a Superior Twin Room, and couldn’t shower because the broken shower was never fixed. Water leaked heavily and there was hardly any pressure. I showed the reception staff and asked for the shower head to be replaced. They sent a worker to inspect it, but he kept saying “ok” and then left without replacing it. The service was bad, and I wouldn’t expect much from them when it comes to repairs. The toilet is also very narrow, so anyone with a bigger build may struggle to use it. This wasn’t a good vacation.

There are plenty of food places within walking distance, and it’s near both Pulau Melaka and the city. Expect traffic jams at busy times. The TV has few channels and the Wi-Fi is limited. The rooms work for a short weekend, though during holiday periods, when the place is full, water may run short.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the LCD TV had no picture.
