We’re from Australia and came to Heng Ann Guesthouse for two nights, then added another seven in January and February 2026. It’s a clean place with a unique feel, and we were very comfortable on the big balcony and in the lounge by reception. The shower gets properly hot, too. Willy, Samantha and the young man on the afternoon front desk shift were all welcoming, helpful and friendly. Willy knows a lot about Melaka, and they were always ready to offer guidance. We enjoyed our time here and plan to stay again on our next trip to Melaka. Max & Jen

The lodge has its own character, with a temple right above it. The owners are warm and welcoming, and the rooms are decent. My only real issue was the air conditioning, which got a little noisy overnight. It still kept the room cool, though it may just be showing its age. The location is a comfortable distance from town, without being too far away.

Back again and still really happy with it. The room is spacious and clean, and they’ve even upgraded the comforter. Great value for the money, with superb customer service. There’s free parking, plus lots of food nearby 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The rooms and surroundings are spacious, and it’s quiet at night. Everything was very clean, and they supplied the basics like towels, body wash, toilet paper and drinking water. There’s parking available, too. The hotel was even better than I expected. I really like it and highly recommend it!

I stayed here as a base for exploring Malacca. It’s affordable and simple, but has a lot of atmosphere, with a temple on the TOP floor. The young staff were friendly and very helpful. Recommended.
