I ended up paying RM200 for their refund and didn’t insist on paying for the broken bed frame I’d sat on, even though it was old and in poor condition. I panicked and felt dumb about it. A few days later, a friend who works in Airbnb said I should have filed a report through Airbnb instead of paying the agent. If I’d photographed the dilapidated building, maybe I could have avoided the RM200 charge and possibly gotten my money back. There were chipped doors, a broken stair pillar, faulty lights everywhere, dead cockroaches, torn wallpaper, old furniture, a broken sofa bed, and mosquitoes throughout the building. I was naive, but I learned a lot from the experience.

We really loved this private pool villa near Jonker. It’s a lovely boutique place for getting together with family or friends, and it would also suit a pre-wedding photo shoot. Very Instagrammable. Thanks so much.

It’s handy and well located, but the inside was dirty enough that dust covered my feet. The shower was weak and cold, with no hot water, and the air conditioning didn’t cool the room either.

The pool was just okay, and the old, run-down place had lots of strange noises, mosquitoes, and cockroaches. It wasn’t worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
