We really liked having the water cooler and ice maker in the kitchen, especially in the Malacca heat, and spent some good family time around the dining area. The place felt cozy and homey, with a bit of kampong character. Beds were clean and comfortable too. With a family of eight, we found check-in and checkout easy, and the host was welcoming and quick to respond. Jonker Street was just over a five-minute walk away, close enough to be convenient but far enough that we could enjoy three days and two nights without the noise. I’d stay again with a group.

We were a family group of 10 arriving in 3 cars, and parking worked out: two cars inside the premises and one outside. The house has five roomy, cozy rooms, with a cottage feel and a mix of modern and vintage details. We especially liked the movie posters and wall art. It’s a quiet spot, roughly a 5-10 minute walk from Jonker Street. The owner was patient and quick to answer our questions after we found the homestay online through its good reviews. Everyone loved it and is already keen to come back to Malacca. A good fit for big families or groups.

We had a really nice time here. There’s a kitchen where we could cook our own meals, and free Wi-Fi was available. A supermarket with basic supplies is only about three minutes away. The bedrooms are spacious and clean, and Jonker Street is within walking distance, with great local food and culture to enjoy along the way.

Knock Knock has such unexpected, one-of-a-kind retro and eclectic decor, which made the stay memorable for me. With all the rooms, it’s a lovely place to get together with friends or family. Jonker Street is close by, but the house is away from the noisy crowds. Thanks for a great stay!

The staff’s care made me feel like family, and their thoughtful touches really stood out. I especially enjoyed the homemade meals and the welcoming atmosphere. Everything was clean, cozy, and well looked after, with roomy, well-equipped rooms, fresh flowers, local snacks, and a peaceful feel enhanced by the surrounding nature. From arrival, everyone was warm and attentive. They were happy to help with requests, suggest local sights, arrange transport, or share stories about the area. Their friendly, professional service made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful setting and personal service. It was one of my best stays, and I’ll definitely return.
