Our house was beautiful, with decent water pressure, and the pool looked well maintained. The whole place was okay and close to the main city attractions, though it felt a bit run-down. There’s security around the clock, and the guards were approachable. It’s easy to get a Grab there, but drivers have to drop you outside the security area and can’t enter, so bring umbrellas if it’s pouring.

We had a great two-night stay in this neat, nice unit. It’s close to Dataran Pahlawan and within walking distance of Mahkota Parade.

The location worked really well, with Jonker Street and other attractions within walking distance. Cross the highway and there’s a large shopping centre with a food court and a great supermarket just a few minutes away. The place was clean, and you can see the ocean between two buildings. But the kitchen was poorly equipped for a weeklong stay: no glasses, plates, tea, or hand towel, and just one cleaning cloth. It sleeps three with an extra folding mattress, but there were only three towels. The couch was really uncomfortable, with the base poking through, and the fabric was so dirty I covered it with my sarong. No scatter cushions either. I didn’t try the TV, so I assume it was fine. All in all, I was happy with the stay.

We had two rooms, but only one had working air conditioning. Housekeeping also missed a lot: there was someone’s hair on the bed and dressing table, the toilet floor was patchy and not properly cleaned, and the bathtub had a stain. The place was okay, but cleanliness needs work. The swimming pool needs a thorough clean too.
