The room was fairly spacious and generally clean, though the sheets looked a little old. The air conditioning ran warm and sometimes left the room stuffy. No floor mats were there at first, but reception can provide them if you ask. There’s a water dispenser and ironing board outside the room, while the room has a hair dryer, kettle, and basic toiletries. For a budget stay, it’s acceptable and practical. Parking uses an access card, and the hotel has a lift suitable for wheelchair or handicap users.

I liked the atmosphere of the hotel, especially the library with its interesting books. The room was spacious, clean, and well looked after, and there was plenty of parking.

My room was quiet, clean, and spacious, and I liked being able to refill water from the dispenser outside. You can drink as much as you want, which is thoughtful since there isn’t a convenience store nearby. The hotel is a fair way from the city centre, so expect to walk or take a cab to the popular spots around Jonker Street.

The room was bright, clean, and large. They had USB outlets, so I could use my own light without packing an adaptor. Nice touch!

The walls are thin, so door slams carry into the room. Apart from that, we had everything we needed and I’d recommend the hotel. We booked the Executive Room for three, and it was so spacious we could move around without getting in each other’s way. The price per square meter was probably the best I’ve ever paid. Staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the simple facilities had a quaint feel. Jonker Street is within walking distance too.
