Place2Stay - Kota Syahbandar

We came by around 8pm on Saturday and got a slot for two. The clean, spacious place made a nice first impression, but the service disappointed. When I asked to use the toilet, I was told it was upstairs and had to find my own way there and back; nobody offered to show me. I booked the 40-minute Zen Head Therapy, which was done entirely in a sofa chair normally used for foot massages. The strokes, especially around my neck, felt rough and uncoordinated. About 90% of the head massage was done with a metal tool. It felt like scraping an apple, not relaxing. The small amount done by hand was the most comfortable part. There were also light touches on my forehead and cheeks, some massage on both hands, and work and cracking on my back. Afterward we waited at reception while they made ginger tea, which took quite a while. I left feeling that neither the therapy nor the hospitality was relaxing or particularly good. I wouldn't recommend it if comfort and good service are what you're after.

The spa had a calming atmosphere at first, but the massage itself was mediocre. I paid a price similar to spas I'd visited in KL and felt the service fell short. The masseuse seemed to understand little English, and her technique felt inexperienced, even though she was elderly. My skin was left oily because there wasn't a proper wipe-down with a damp towel. I also honestly think the session was cut short by at least 7-10 minutes. For what I got, it wasn't worth the price.

The therapists were polite, friendly, and professional, and the peaceful setting made the whole visit really relaxing. The price felt reasonable for the service. I'd happily recommend it.

I went for the 90-minute Aromatherapy Massage Happy Hour, offered from 10AM to 2PM, and paid RM119. It felt like money well spent on a treat, and I'd definitely return. Thai Oasis in Kota Syahbandar, Melaka has only just opened, and this was one of my best massage visits in Melaka. The massage setting, hospitality, and service all felt five-star. ❤️🌷😇🙏
