Sun Inns Hotel Laksamana Near Menara Taming Sari, A'Famosa

It was very noisy inside the room, especially on weekend nights when mat rempit and mat kereta with their big modified exhausts disturbed our sleep. The service was just okay. For the price we paid, though, I can’t complain too much. We booked at the last minute, and RM120 for a room for four seemed reasonable. The location was nicely placed, not too far from town and tourist attractions but not right on top of them either. The room was basic, with air conditioning, a TV, Wi-Fi and a towel. It wasn’t spacious, but the toilet was comfortable and had a hot shower. The bed was ordinary, though we did sleep okay.

This is a very budget kind of room, so keep expectations modest. The hot shower was okay, and getting the key through the self-service system was easy. There’s no lift, so using the stairs can be inconvenient for older guests.

The air conditioning control was missing after check-in, so there was no air conditioning all night. Don’t stay here and waste your money!!!

Even for a budget stay, basic cleanliness matters, and this place didn’t meet that standard. The sheets were stained, the towels filthy and the bathroom unclean. The pictures online looked nothing like the hotel. There was no water in the morning, no elevator and no proper place to wait. Staff were rude and unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend it.
