I mostly chose Hotel Time for its location. It's a short walk to Pahlawan Megamall and the Hatten Hotel bus station, and there's a coffee shop or restaurant about 20 meters away, with a 7-Eleven beside it. The room is small but workable, with a comfortable bed and fresh, clean sheets and pillow covers. Mine had a window, plus a table and chair for morning coffee. They provide bottled water, an electric kettle, and complimentary 2-in-1 coffee. The Smart TV has Malaysian channels. Netflix worked fine with an active account, but YouTube kept crashing after a few minutes. The bathroom and toilet were clean, but there's no shower water heater, so expect cold showers, including in the morning or after a long day out. The closet door wouldn't shut fully, and the folding bathroom doors were misaligned and didn't close properly. Noise from people talking and walking outside carried clearly into the room. Light sleepers may want earplugs or to request a quieter room. The room is small but decent and has what you need without feeling too cramped. For the price, the location is a strong point. It's useful as a clean, cheap place to sleep if you're out exploring Malacca, as long as you're prepared for cold showers and some noise.

It's cheap, cheap, cheap 🐣, and the value matches the price. The bed itself is okay, but the pillows are hard. The room's a bit dirty and didn't seem thoroughly cleaned. The air con condition is questionable, and there's no shower temperature control.

The location works well, within walking distance of Hatten and Melaka Raya, and the enclosed lobby felt safe while I waited for late-night Grab deliveries. I stayed in November 2023. For one of the cheapest hotels I've used, the room was extremely clean and reasonably comfortable. Room service changed the bedsheets every day, and the bathroom was spotless. That bathroom cleanliness really set it apart from hotels at a similar price. The air conditioning was cold and comfortable for sleeping. A few things could be better. There was no soap, so I bought hand soap and used the travel soap I'd brought. The water heater was weak, leaving the water lukewarm. There's no separate shower area, so everything else in the bathroom gets wet. The door lock could be finicky, and I had to double-check it each time I went in or out. Staff, please keep up the good work on room and bathroom cleanliness. It'd also help to provide hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo, install a stronger water heater if possible, and replace the locks.

The location is strategic, but the room was lousy. Three tiles were loose, the pillow smelled, there was a lizard, no TV signal, and the WiFi was poor. At night I felt insecure with just one receptionist on duty. She was always on the phone and didn't look at guests coming in or going out. There was no security.

It's quiet and peaceful, away from city noise, but still an easy walk to Dataran Pahlawan Melaka. Restaurants, a 7-Eleven, and several banks are close by. There's plenty of free parking, which is handy if you're driving. My room had a water heater and a nice modern TV, and I found the stay pleasant. Rooms are available for under RM100 a night, so Time Hotel Melaka is an affordable option for a visit to the area. I highly recommend it.
