56 Hotel

The hotel is well managed, and they keep it clean. There’s plenty of room, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and quick. You can also buy snacks and drinks there. Chinese restaurants and nearby housing areas are close by.

There’s plenty of food nearby, including Chinese places and the pasar pagi and pasar malam. You can also order food in the morning, with free delivery if you don’t feel like going out to find something. Parking right in front is limited, but there’s a park across the road where you can leave your car. For the price, the room is comfortable, though how clean it is seems to depend on the room. I was satisfied, and the location is convenient.

I booked 56 Hotel for a business trip because the price seemed reasonable and the Google reviews were good. The room had a strong smoke smell when I arrived. I went out for dinner, thinking it might clear, but it was still strong when I got back, so I asked the counter to move me. Ms Malar, the hotel assistant, kindly raised the problem with the owner and helped arrange a more suitable room. Thanks, Malar 👍👍👍

The staff were good, but the room was dirty. There was hair on the pillow, a mouldy ceiling, stained floors, dusty and dirty air conditioning, and mouldy wooden furniture. I’m quite sure housekeeping hadn’t cleaned it properly. I’ve stayed in many budget hotels and motels with better cleanliness. Parking is also short. If you leave your car outside without a local government ticket, the council may issue you one. This place has a lot of potential and could charge more if the cleanliness improves. I hope it does.
