Hotel Jelai Mentakab

There’s no designated parking, but you can park around the hotel. Lots of places to eat are nearby, and there’s a supermarket right across from it. Massage spas are close too. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is good for such a low price. One of the better budget hotels in town, well worth the money and much cheaper than other hotels.

I found a cockroach in my room, and I couldn’t see any plug to switch on the water heater. Breakfast is only provided when there are more than 10 customers on the same day. This Jelai Hotel is different from the other Jelai hotels in the Pahang area. They provided only one remote. When I asked the counter staff, he didn’t know how to solve the issue or turn on the television. I don’t recommend it.

The location is good, but the facilities, upkeep, and service were very poor. My room was dusty and had bed bugs, and it was super noisy at night.

I felt at home here, and honestly spent my whole stay smiling and really excited. The room was awesome. The hotel is right in the middle of Mentakab town, with restaurants, ECO Shop, Speedmart, a barber shop and a magazine stall all within walking distance. I’ll definitely return to this hotel and Mentakab.
