The double room we stayed in during 2024 was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It met our expectations, and we loved it. We'd come back in 2026 if a triple room is available.

Parking was easy to find, and being close to the entrance made coming and going convenient. The rooms were spotless, with a fresh feel and thoughtful, distinctive design. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, always ready to answer questions or lend a hand. Their smiles felt sincere, without any pretence, and the welcome made me feel at home, almost as if I were checking into a Four Season Hotel. U Design Hotel Mentakab is a comfortable and convenient gem in Mentakab. I’d gladly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again.

The one downside was that the room wasn't soundproof. Still, my windowless double room and the toilet were clean, and the water pressure was good. Parking was fairly easy to find. There’s an iron board and water dispenser on the second floor, and I liked that each switch was labelled and explained.

There wasn't enough parking for hotel guests, and the details in my online booking didn't match what I found at check-in. At least, it's easy to access the hotel parking compound from the room TV.

The TV channels connect to the CCTV, which makes watching TV pretty interesting. The walls are extremely thin, so noise from other rooms can get awkward. Otherwise, it's an ordinary budget hotel that gives travelers a place to rest and sleep. Nothing memorable.
