The breakfast was limited, though it tasted okay. Restaurant staff were polite, but seemed a bit overwhelmed even with few customers. The front desk staff were helpful at check-in and quite polite. We stayed two nights for the first time. The WiFi was good and the location convenient, so I might stay again, though there are lots of nearby hotels and maybe some have more comfortable beds. The Queen bed seemed more like a double, and it was rock hard. My husband and I both got back aches. The mini fridge was switched off and had mould inside. The handheld shower was small with weak pressure, but the rain shower was great.

I liked how quiet the area was, even with the hotel right in the middle of Miri and coffeeshops popular with locals just behind it. The staff were attentive, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. Breakfast was decent for the price, though you only get to pick one plate from a fixed menu rather than choosing from a buffet. The renovated deluxe room had modern decor and enough space, with a tub and rain shower in the bathroom. It had what I needed, but the air conditioner was very noisy, I could hear water moving inside the walls, and the bed felt quite stiff.

Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for two, including space to pray. I liked the automatic curtains and bathtub amenities, and housekeeping was prompt. The lift was quick, and the lobby sofa was a nice place to sit while waiting. Before we arrived, the hotel sent a helpful WhatsApp confirmation, and at check-in we were welcomed with a warm towel and fruit juice. The location made getting around easy: Permaisuri Imperial Mall is just steps away, with Wireless Walk Miri and convenience stores also within walking distance. We had a pleasant four days and three nights, and the service was generally good. There was one awkward moment at reception when another guest was served ahead of us while we queued for a parking coupon, and no apology was given. Parking was the main drawback. There’s no dedicated hotel parking, so guests have to find public parking, which gets difficult at peak times, and buy coupons at reception. Our sink also drained very slowly. The room faced the street and lobby entrance, so the view was nothing special, and the TV channels were limited. I’d consider staying again outside peak season, but the parking could put me off then. Be ready for the public parking process if you stay, especially if location and room amenities matter more to you than having hotel parking.

The thing that really won me over was how staff handled my lost wallet. It fell out of my pocket during the visit, and they found it and got in touch right away. After checking it was mine, they WhatsApped me and returned it sealed in an envelope. That felt like five-star service. I was in Sarawak for the first time in November 2025, and choosing a hotel mattered to me because it’s where I start the day and come back to shower, eat, and rest after exploring. The design made a strong impression: the exterior, lobby, and rooms all felt like a four- or five-star place, and I really liked the style. The lobby looked premium and smelled great. Rooms aren’t huge, but they’re comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The price is a little high for Miri, though the quality made it feel reasonable. Water pressure was strong, the AC got very cold, and the amenities were all there. There’s also a water dispenser by the lift, which was great for refilling bottles. It’s in the city center, so getting a Grab was easy. A few small drawbacks: parking is very limited, the toilet area is a bit tight for bending down, and the TV isn’t smart, so there’s no YouTube or Netflix. I hope they keep up this standard. It’s definitely near the top of my list for Miri.
