Pullman Miri Waterfront

I had 500+ go up in smoke after I cancelled a two-night booking last year and Boo...ng.com ignored my refund request. I finally booked a room through Ag...a.com, with river and sea views. It was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked efficiently. You can walk to Miri waterfront, including the sea horse statue, and there are lots of food places and pubs nearby. Parking is free, with number plate recognition and self-verification when driving out. The room even had dumbbells, a yoga math, a scale, and a bathtub with a sea view. The counter staff were polite, and the one-stop service answered room calls very quickly. Reasonably priced, and I strongly recommend this hotel.

The bathroom needs attention: there was noticeable mold around the bathtub, which affected how clean and comfortable the room felt. The rest of the room was fine. I did enjoy the hotel’s amenities, especially the beautiful ocean view from the gym and the stunning infinity pool. There are also plenty of good food options within easy walking distance. My stay at Pullman Miri Hotel was pleasant overall, though these issues need addressing.

We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed our time at the hotel. The one disappointment was that we booked a sea view room but were given a city view instead. Everything else was satisfactory.

I enjoyed the stay and felt comfortable throughout. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, though one or two people at the front office were not. The security guard was the first to greet us when we arrived, and he was helpful, polite, and well-mannered. The concierge was welcoming too, so that made a good first impression. At the front desk, though, there was no greeting or smile, just basic interaction while the staff focused on the computer. Since it was around 8pm, I thought maybe the late hour had something to do with it. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and I especially liked having different pillows to choose from. At check-in I was told breakfast for one was included, so I paid to add another. That went smoothly, but the breakfast team the next morning hadn't been told about the extra pax. It wasn't a big problem because I had the receipt, though better communication between teams would have helped. Room service took about 30 minutes, which felt like a long wait, and the fried rice was too moist. The food could be better. I also come from a hospitality background, so I'm sharing this honestly to help with improvements, not as anything personal. I really appreciated the security and concierge teams, and was impressed by the long-term CSR initiative selling Penan bags. I bought several for my family. Thanks, until next time 😀
