Residence 21 Boutique Inn

I couldn't use the iron during my stay because another guest had it in their room for a long time. Keeping the iron in a private room means everyone else is locked out of using it. That's an unreasonable and very inconvenient setup, and it shows poor management and little consideration for guests' basic needs. An ironing station should be in a shared common area so everyone has fair access. I strongly urge management to deal with this immediately. It left a very negative impression of the inn and its service.

The room smelled damp and musty, the lighting was dim, and the small towel was smelly. They didn't replace it or provide one to wipe our feet after we got out of the bathroom.

For RM70, I felt this place exceeded my expectations. It's close to small shops, restaurants, a few laundry services, and just minutes from the main areas. The room was clean enough for me, with a nicely made bed, fresh clean linen, no rubbish or stray hairs, and a clean, dry toilet when I arrived. The facilities are basic: Wi-Fi, a new AC, electric kettle, two bottles of drinking water, clean towels, hot tap water, and a hot shower. I really appreciated that hot shower! I can't speak for all the staff, but the woman at reception when I checked in was very helpful and soft-spoken.

Friendly service, and the location is pretty good, within walking distance of food and a shopping mall. Everything else was good for a single or family room, but there were a few annoyances: the Wi-Fi was a bit unstable, the room wasn't soundproof, and the TV only had two channels. There was no hanger, and the door lock was tricky to use. The hotel owner should upgrade it to a card lock.
