The location is the one thing I’ve liked so far. I’m thinking of moving out. People sometimes speed through the parking lot, which can be scary, and the gym equipment is rusty and broken. The cargo lift has apparently been broken for ages, with no sign the main office will fix it, which is a real hassle. The kitchen has no ventilation, so cooking smells hang around for hours, and the lights need changing often. Some guys smoke in the elevator despite the NO SMOKING sign. Security and reception have also been unfriendly and rude, as others have said.

It feels very secure here: both long-term tenants and short-stay guests need security cards even to get into the lobby. The apartment my family rented was spotless and nicely coordinated, with the essentials, including a washing machine and a full set of crockery. It’s a quiet homestay beside Pullman hotel, just metres from where the river mouth meets the sea. From the balcony in the early morning, you can watch fishing boats chug in with their catches. The faint sound of the sea and salty air make it easy to get drowsy.

Security staff are very unprofessional and speak disrespectfully. They often pick on you and leave you feeling unwelcome, almost like a criminal. They also refuse access to the gym and pool, saying you have to own an apartment here to use them.

The receptionist was awful. I’d asked a colleague to drop off some things for my customer to collect, but the receptionist started yelling at them, then shouted at another customer too. The people around us were shocked.
