Bakri Homestay

For our large family, this homestay in Muar made for a truly satisfying stay, and I want to thank the owner for giving us a 10-star experience. It has 12 rooms and can accommodate a big family, with comfortable parking. The place is very clean and satisfying, close to town and popular eateries, and reasonably priced. Most of all, the customer service was extremely helpful and never complained. The owner was humble and soft-spoken while arranging the rental. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a homestay around Muar.

The room was very clean and the staff were helpful. I reached Tangkak around 10pm looking for a room for three adults, found this homestay on Agoda with a high rating, and called to check they could allow a slightly late check-in after 11pm before booking. The less convenient part was having to return the access cards to a nearby petrol station after our stay, and the deposit refund wasn't immediate. The room rate felt a little high, but the room itself was very clean.

The people in charge were responsive and easy to deal with. Given what you get for the affordable price, it's clearly a good deal.

We stayed in Muar with our family of four in a room with two Queen Beds. It was spacious and comfortable for sleeping and resting overnight. Each room has a fairly large mirror, both in the room and the bathroom, handy for getting ready. The shower and toilet had strong water pressure, so a hot shower was great. A washing machine, water dispenser, and clothes iron are provided in the room or on this Guest House page, as shown in the uploaded pictures. The receptionist was helpful with reservations. I paid RM190 for Friday and Saturday night, plus a RM100 deposit, which is returned after checkout if there's no problem in the room. The number listed on Google Maps was easy to contact. Booking directly may be cheaper than using a booking platform, unless you have a VVIP membership that gives you lots of discounts. In shaa Allah, we can come again when visiting Muar.
