The family room was roomy and suited families with children. It was clean, though there was a slight mouldy smell. The toilet was okay, but I'm not keen on the carpet. It looked clean, but I think it needs more frequent vacuuming for hygiene and comfort. The hotel sits in the middle of town, within walking distance of many shops and convenience stores, and about 10 minutes from the bus station. Handy if you don't want to drive around, though traffic can get quite heavy at peak times. Parking is limited, but there's underground parking through Wetex Mall's side entrance, with cashless payment. The event hall on the 5th floor can comfortably fit around 250 people, perhaps 300 at most. More than that might feel crowded. There are only two lifts for the building, so hundreds of people leaving an event can face a long, congested wait to get to the ground floor. Below RM250 per night in the off season is reasonable. I'd eat breakfast outside, where it's cheaper, tastier, and there are more choices.

The building feels old, with dated fixtures and fittings that could use refurbishment and modern updates. Making those improvements would make the stay much better. The staff were friendly and helpful, though, and service was good. Check-in and checkout both went smoothly.

The room was so run down it had a "haunted" feel. The carpets were stained, the walls filthy, and the furniture and TV looked ancient. The bedding seemed clean at first, but we were kept awake by constant itchiness. We chose to leave quietly at 1:00 AM and head home rather than cause a scene. The staff were the only bright spot, and the service was good. We won't return unless the property gets a full refurbishment. The hotel itself needs a complete overhaul.

Wetex Parade is right beside the place, and Muar Soup House is within walking distance. It has wide rooms, bathtubs, a large free parking area, and a great city view. We found it comfortable, and the breakfast was great. A great place for all of us. I'll bring my family here on our next trip.

It's old and has a ‘classy’ feel, and the location is great. But it's 2026 and they still want a deposit in cash. Everything's cashless nowww. Don't make guests withdraw money, especially when we don't even carry cards anymore. Please address this. I moved to another hotel because of how insensitive this was.
