MUO Villa

For RM190 at the promo rate, I expected more. The queen room had a small balcony, but it was locked and couldn’t be used. There was leftover body shampoo in the bathroom, no TV, and no tea or coffee in the room, so I had to get it from the kitchen. Even with lots of lights, the room felt dim. The counter staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful.

The staff were good and very helpful. It’s a large bungalow converted into a premium homestay, with hotel-style amenities. The place is clean, spacious and quiet. It’s just around the corner from the city centre, though a bit far to walk.

There’s plenty of room here, from the bedrooms and bathrooms to the living room. It also has a pool and karaoke room. Being near the mosque and city centre is handy, and it feels more private than a regular hotel. A good choice for family gatherings or reunions.

We really enjoyed the quiet time we got here. When we checked in, there was just us and one other guest, whom we didn’t even run into, so it felt like we had the whole villa to ourselves. It has nine rooms for groups of two, three or four, plus a roomy lobby, pool and pantry. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. A great place to stay when visiting Muar.
