The room was large and I got a nice view of the beach, but I wouldn't recommend it if you want a quiet night's sleep. My partner and I were woken up repeatedly in the mornings during our few days there by room service and other guests. The noise and really poor soundproofing badly affected our sleep. The toilet felt very old-fashioned and the basin leaked. The shower was cramped into a bathtub, so water sprayed all over the bathroom floor and left it wet. If you're an early bird, it may still be a decent enough deal.

We found our new go-to place on Tamjung Bunga. The sea-view apartments are spacious, in a strategic location and affordable. Some reviews call the staff rude or inattentive, but that wasn't our experience. They seemed more confident speaking Malaysian and were very helpful during our stay. The laundry room was a lifesaver, and there's a convenient restaurant on the ground floor. Wholeheartedly recommended.

It's an old hotel, but clean, with a strong hot shower and working air conditioning. It's next to the beach, though swimming isn't possible because of grease or oil from fishing boats. There's plenty of parking, but it can fill up on public holidays, and you can park outside. The pool is nice, if a bit small. The nearest halal food is about 350-400 meters away, and 7e shops are around 500 meters away. Satisfied overall.

We only stayed one night, and things were good apart from two issues: the mattresses sagged, and the washed towels and bed linen were stained. I think it's time to replace the stained items. I'd definitely stay again.

The building and furniture are old, and the bathrooms have heavy stains from extensive use as well as mold. Repairs inside are done by a handyman, but not a professional.
