Vouk Hotel by The Blanket

The location made it easy to get around Penang, and the hotel was calm and relaxing. I was travelling solo and felt comfortable throughout my stay. My room was clean and well cared for, with a cozy bed, spotless bathroom, and complete amenities. The hotel staff were warm, professional, and helpful from check-in through housekeeping. The security guards deserve a special mention for helping me with parking and making me feel safe. Breakfast was included, with a great variety of delicious food for different tastes. I also got a free welcome drink at check-in, a lovely touch. The service, security, cleanliness, food, and comfort all exceeded my expectations. I’d happily stay again and recommend Vouk Hotel Penang.

A decent, affordable spot for a short stay, with a clean room and a location not too far from Georgetown’s tourist areas. I didn’t get to try the pool or gym. The showerhead kept slipping out of its loose holder, something housekeeping should check. Only one set of shower amenities was provided, though there were two guests. The welcome drink was a small glass of something that tasted like fruit punch.

Alhamdulillah, such a great experience! Thanks for making everything easy for me. They even suggested a decorator, although you weren’t available for deco that day. The room and cleanliness were tiptop, and the bathtub was big. We were really happy with the room even for a one-night stay, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly all around, and my kids loved it. They had a great time in the pool, which was kid-friendly, not deep, and just right for them. We’ll definitely come back to Vouk when we visit Penang.

Cleanliness needs to be a basic standard. My stay was disappointing: the toilet smelled strongly of smoke, the floor was dirty, and there were blood stains on the bed. I hope management improves housekeeping.
