Sunsega Hotel

The room was comfortable enough and felt worth the price. The hotel should repair the toilet tap.

We could hear people walking and talking all night, though I couldn't tell if they were people. The area felt dark and scary, and I didn't sleep at all. The lift was still out of service when we checked out, even though reception had said it had been broken for two hours when we arrived and that they'd reported it to the lift company. In the room, the bidet and TV didn't work, and the TV and remote were different brands. The bed was uncomfortable even for a cheap hotel. There were ants and a cockroach, and the room was dusty. This was the worst experience; I won't come back and would avoid the hotel.

The room was in terrible shape. The bathroom had no ventilation, its door wouldn't lock, the faucet was broken, and water overflowed from the toilet. There wasn't even a basic welcome tea or coffee packet. At night the water supply kept cutting out. I tried telling the receptionist five times, using the simple words "no water supply," but he couldn't understand me, which was frustrating. He was a foreign worker who couldn't speak Malay, so communication would be hard for anyone who doesn't speak English. At check-in I had to pay RM50. I handed over RM100 and got no change, so he kept the whole amount. A hotel should have change available.

I booked three nights but left that night because I couldn't stand the smell throughout the old building. The hotel was very dirty, with many insects and worms in the room, and both reception and management were very bad. It's in a dark, scary area, with tourist attractions around 30 kilometers away. Nice experience.
