Permai Hotel Sibu

Over our 4 days and 3 nights, the experience was very poor. There was no electricity in the bathroom for two nights, and it wasn't repaired until the third day. The hotel hygiene was poor, and the rooms didn't seem to be checked properly before guests were allowed in. I hope they improve things.

There's no mirror in the room, only one in the bathroom, which is inconvenient if you want to check yourself. The room and toilet did get cleaner after I complained about the hygiene. But the receptionist's attitude is still poor. On 16/09/2025, I asked for my receipt and she spoke harshly, then talked over me while I was explaining what I needed. That was extremely rude to a guest.

The rooms are tiny, with barely enough space for a bed and table, so they're really just for sleeping. You might hear noise from the next room if you're a light sleeper, since the walls don't block sound well. There aren't many amenities either. The hotel is a little way out from the town center.

The room itself was in poor shape: dirty, stained bedsheets, air conditioning that barely worked, and a broken electric kettle. Staff were extremely rude and unprofessional too. My booking at Hotel Permai was suddenly cancelled without a proper reason, and getting the refund through Agoda took 3 working days, which was frustrating since I urgently needed the money. Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Stay away!
