Hilton Petaling Jaya

I had a great first stay at Hilton Petaling Jaya. As a Hilton Honors Diamond Elite member, I could use the Executive Lounge on the top floor, where my upgraded suite was too. The gym is huge, spacious and well equipped, and I loved the toilet for some reason 🤣. There’s a tailor, Anggun, on the ground floor near reception, and the TV in the executive suites swivels. They also have lots of rooms for meetings or casual gatherings, including private lounge rooms for different group sizes. Staff sometimes spoke loudly or sounded a bit harsh or rude. I couldn’t tell whether they needed more training or were overwhelmed by the crowds, though I could understand the pressure with so many guests there. That could be improved. Traffic outside was often heavy as well. I still enjoyed my stay and would visit again.

The breakfast had a good range, with strong coffee, nice food and good soup, and I liked the special menu. Portions were on the large side, though some items felt out of place in consistency and quality. The pastries were good at 6am but went stale quite quickly, around 9am. If the management is interested, I’d suggest checking out Courtyard by Marriott KL south as a breakfast comparison. That’s just nitpicking, though, because breakfast was still good overall. The building looks old from outside, but inside it’s clean, refurbished and well maintained. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Although the ceilings are fairly low, the room was comfortable for its size and relaxing. The executive lounge had excellent, specialized service and a nice view and atmosphere. The pool and gym were spacious and impressive, and the amenities felt consistently luxurious. Special thanks to the check-in, housekeeping and concierge teams for handling my unusual requests related to my personal needs. 10/10, excellent place!

The open seating area on the lobby floor makes the hotel feel spacious, works well for having friends over, and leaves a great impression. The buffet was carefully managed and had a top-tier, varied selection, competitive with places like a Waldorf Astoria beach resort. The gym is chef’s kiss. If that were the usual Hilton standard, I’d never stay anywhere else. As a Hilton Gold member, I found the clean, comfortable, well-designed room exceeded expectations. The open floor, buffet and gym stood out most. The staff were very friendly, and I highly recommend it.

Breakfast had lots of delicious choices, and dining service was consistently attentive without being intrusive. The room was spacious, spotless and well kept, with a very comfortable bed, thoughtful amenities and a peaceful atmosphere throughout the hotel. From arrival, the staff were warm and professional. Check-in was smooth, and everyone I met was courteous and attentive. Hilton Petaling Jaya exceeded my expectations. I’d recommend it for business or leisure and will return on my next visit.
