Le Méridien Petaling Jaya

The stay itself was okay, but the counter service needs a lot of improvement, especially from Yeoh Khai Loon. I asked for my baby’s seafood porridge to be warmed in a microwave, something no hotel had refused during my previous stays. He said the kitchen was Halal-certified and wouldn’t microwave it, then offered a large bowl of hot water instead. I explained I could have done that in the room, but the container label said to heat the food in a microwave. I found the customer service downright poor and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. They should reconsider how they handle food warming for guests, particularly families with young children, and consider providing separate microwaves for halal and non-halal food, as I’ve found at other international hotels.

Breakfast was the best part for me. The buffet had a wide choice, everything tasted fresh, and there were lots of drink options. You order drinks from the bartenders, who make them fresh. The F&B manager and waiters checked in often, and the service was excellent. I’d give breakfast 5 stars. My room had a calm, cosy feel and looked out toward MBPJ Stadium, home of Selangor FC, which made the view especially nice for me. Four stars for the room. For children, the hotel has a swimming pool, but no dedicated kids’ room or play area. The pool is good, though more attractions or activities would make it more engaging for kids. I’d rate the kids’ facilities 3 stars. Le Méridien Petaling Jaya was comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere and attentive service. The kids’ facilities could be better, but the stadium view may appeal to football fans, and the hotel was a good choice for our family.

The pool was clean and nice, and the staff were so friendly it felt like home. Our room was spacious and cosy, with a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious, and breakfast had a nice variety. I’ll definitely come back.

After a long workday, the live music at PJ’s Bar & Grill helped me unwind. The singers and performers interacted naturally with the crowd, keeping the bar warm and lively, and the music was uplifting and fun. The Scully_ Trio played a varied mix of songs across genres, with strong rhythm, good balance and arrangements that showed real musicality. Their playing felt tight but relaxed, well beyond the usual hotel background music. I had a great evening at PJ’s Bar & Grill at Le Méridien. The musicians sounded skilled and experienced, and their performance made my stay at Le Méridien. It’s a great live music spot, and The Scully Trio is worth experiencing.
