Sovotel Boutique Hotel at Uptown 101

I couldn't recommend this stay. The air conditioner barely cooled the room, making the nights uncomfortable, and there was water leaking as well. I also noticed bed bugs, which made the room feel very uncomfortable and unacceptable. For what I paid, I expected basic cleanliness and comfort. The room wasn't clean at all. Management needs to address hygiene, maintenance, and guest comfort, with serious improvements before I'd consider staying here again.

There are plenty of places to eat at night, and the location is strategic. That's the one good thing I found. I stayed one night in room 116. From outside, the hotel looked promising, and I thought the price might get me something better than a typical budget hotel. It didn't feel worth the money: there was a strong cigarette smell, dust everywhere, and housekeeping seemed to have done a careless job. I wouldn't recommend it for cleanliness or value.

I'm here for a one-week stay, and today is only day two. On the first day there were no towels or anything, and when I asked, they said housekeeping had forgotten to put them in. After I got back from training in the evening, housekeeping still hadn't serviced the room. I don't know what the rest of this week will be like. 😭

The room was stuffy, windowless, dirty, and had insects, and there's no lift. It looked nothing like the photos on Google, agoda, or booking.com. The bathroom was intolerable. When we complained and asked for a refund, the foreigner at the counter kept saying he couldn't do anything. He also said this had happened before. For a place in uptown where many people choose to stay, it's bad that there's no maintenance.
