Southern TIP Hotel

The receptionist was the best part of the stay, taking time to chat with us. The hotel really needs improvement. Southern Tip is supposed to be a 4 star hotel according to other branches, though this was at least better than the OYO hotel, which was a NIGHTMARE. For a king sized bed and a single bed, 200RM felt a little pricey given the room we got. The room was dirty and dusty, with stains on the floor, including one that looked like fresh blood. It seemed it hadn't been cleaned before we checked in. There was also a blood stain on the blanket, so we had to go to reception to get it changed. Lots of bugs were behind the bed. The toilet was probably the cleanest part, but the shampoo wouldn't lather, which was strange. There was a dusty, buggy spot in the room, and when I opened the curtain, I saw a bug nest on the windowsill. I don't know why there were two weird rectangular holes there either. The door didn't feel secure: someone accidentally opened the wrong door and ours unlocked. The second lock was shaky and looked ready to fall off. The staircase wasn't locked, so anyone could go up to our floor. The location wasn't great. A funeral service house is opposite, and we could hear Chinese chanting at 10pm. The road noise also made it hard to sleep.
