A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "The Corner House" is located in Pontian. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and Singapore Zoo. The owner messaged me on WhatsApp just five minutes after I booked, confirming our stay and sending clear instructions. That kind of service was great, especially for the price. We were there for two nights with our young child, and the room was exceptionally clean, with its own toilet. Both looked newly renovated and had a contemporary design. The staff were attentive, and the basics were all ready for us, including toothbrushes, towels, a laundry bag, and a hair dryer. There was plenty of private parking with CCTV, which helped with security. Getting food and supplies was easy too: two places to eat are right across the road, and a supermarket is a one to two minute walk away. Light sleepers can ask for a room facing inward, away from the road. Road noise wasn't an issue for us. Cleanliness: 5/5. Basic amenities: 5/5. Room: 4/5. Security: 5/5.

Food places all around, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, and the place was comfortable. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

The house is at a junction, so passing vehicles could be a bit disturbing at night. Shops and eateries nearby made it easy to get a meal, though the ground-floor restaurant wasn't operating because of a staff shortage. We were four people checking in that day and took two rooms, Zen and The Attica. They were small but clean and well organized. The setup felt a lot like Airbnb accommodation.

Parking was available on the premises, with CCTV for security. We stayed in the Zen room and enjoyed it. It was very well kept, with a high housekeeping standard, and natural light came in through two balconies. Manager Gladys made check-in smooth, shared dining recommendations, and was quick to respond on WhatsApp. I'd come back when visiting Pontian.

We felt completely at ease here, and it was one of the best places we've stayed during our three months cycling through SE Asia. The hotel is chic and well maintained, the rooms spotlessly clean, and the linen feels pure and lush. Staff were thoughtful and proactive.
