Klana Beach Resort Port Dickson

For the race, I needed to feel at ease about my bicycle overnight, but the hotel had no storage room and wouldn't let me keep it inside. They said other guests left bikes outside in front of the lobby. I ended up walking about 1 km each way to park and retrieve mine at another hotel where my friend was staying; they let him keep his bike in a room without any issue. I booked at short notice and hadn't looked into things much beforehand. There are places nearby for similar prices that are better. This hotel itself is just a plastered concrete block, nothing special, and breakfast was okay-ish.

The fast was good, and the room was spacious. It's a Muslim-friendly hotel with separate pools for women and men. There's also an observatory near the hotel where you can go for viewing at a low charge.

I felt itchy after lying on the bed, and I couldn't stand the strong smell when I first opened the door to Room 227. It was dirty and dusty, like it hadn't been cleaned or occupied for months. There was hair stuck to the bathroom wall, dust all over the cups, and dusty headboard and side table. I've stayed at many hotels for much less than this one costs, but never in a room in this condition. Why charge such high rates for this? I told the receptionist about the dirty room and cups. They cleaned the cups, but nothing else was done. I didn't feel comfortable staying even one night, so after dinner I checked out at 10:00 PM. It was a complete waste of my money and time. A BIG NO to this hotel. I have some photos, but didn't bother taking more because I know no one bothers either.

We ended up canceling our first stay and going to Avillion Port Dickson instead, where we could check in right away. We'd booked this hotel because my daughter was excited about the kids’ pool and slides shown on the website, but the check-in confusion left us tired and upset, especially with a young child waiting. We arrived around 12 pm and asked politely about checking in early. A receptionist said it was possible and that we'd get a call between 1.30 pm and 2 pm. When we came back after 2 pm, that same staff member said check-in was strictly at 3 pm and early check-in wasn't allowed. If that had been made clear from the start, we could have made other arrangements or picked a hotel with a clearer, more reliable process. We kindly ask that our payment not be charged, since we were misinformed by the hotel's own staff and lost time and comfort because of it. We hope the hotel improves how it communicates with guests.
