Vintage House

I first stayed at Vintage in June, added a few days, and came back again in July. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean, with great A/C and a fan. The showers were always nice and hot, too. Cheah, the owner, was lovely and very helpful with tips about the area and places to eat and visit. It's in a lovely local neighborhood, an easy walk from the main area. Highly recommend it, and I'll be back ☺️👍

Cheah was wonderful about answering our questions quickly and helping us figure out restaurants, food to try and places to see. Her restaurant tips were truly amazing, and we really enjoyed our time in George Town/Penang. Wish we'd had longer. The house has a vintage feel, and both the room and bathroom were really clean. The property is centrally located, with sightseeing spots within walking distance. A beautiful stay with an amazing host.

The place's quirks and charm made for a nostalgic, enjoyable stay once I accepted it wasn't modern. Cheah was incredibly helpful, informative and great to chat with. I had a great three nights and would definitely come back. If you're comfortable with it, try booking directly with the host, as it helps them and you.

Cheah made us feel so welcome, and sent ideas through WhatsApp links for things to see, places to visit and eat, food to try, and free buses to catch. We used her suggestions for meals, bus rides and outings, and had the best time. After each day out, it was lovely to return to such a welcoming guesthouse. The rooms are beautiful, airy and spacious, with high ceilings, air-conditioning and a fan. Bathrooms are simple and very clean, with plenty of space and extra sinks. There's a communal area with books, tea and coffee, a hot water machine and a fridge. This may be the best guesthouse we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot. It's perfectly placed for exploring Georgetown, with delicious food spots just a couple of minutes away and museums nearby. We hope to return and spend longer.
