The location is strategic and it stays calm day and night, but there’s no safety in the room and the service is so-so. I’d say it’s more suited to backpackers, solo travellers, people just passing through, or single guests.

This was the worst stay I’ve had in Malaysia. I paid over RM120 for one night in a twin room, but it was basically a large concrete pipe with barely enough room for the two single beds. There wasn’t space to sit, and standing was difficult because the floor curved instead of being flat. The bathroom was downstairs in another cramped concrete pipe, with no bathroom or shower in the room itself. To make it worse, there was no Wi-Fi and no toilet paper.

The room was uncomfortable and didn’t feel safe. At night the compound was very dark, with only a few lamps on, and there was no staff or receptionist available for questions. I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it.

A decent option for backpackers, or anyone who doesn't mind a rougher kind of trip. The facilities are acceptable.

The beach is about a five-minute walk away, and there’s a nice spot at the backpackers for a family photo. The pool was free, and it’s close to restaurants too. I really liked the place, five stars from me.
