Thistle Port Dickson Resort

The beach was a highlight for us. At low tide it was lovely to swim, stroll around, and let the kids play safely by the shore. We also really enjoyed the huge swimming pool, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though it could use a bit of upgrading. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Special thanks to Saadiah for her warm hospitality and excellent service. We had a great time at Thistle Port Dickson and would definitely return.

The pool was a real plus, with wide areas for swimming, and it was easy to get to the beach. Staff were friendly, and breakfast had plenty of choice. The nasi lemak was exceptionally delicious, and having teh tarik and juices was a nice touch. The room was another story. It had a nice view and seemed somewhat refurbished, but most of the facilities felt old. There was no bathroom ventilation, although the hot water worked properly. The pillowcases, parts of the bed, comforter cover, sofa, and window cushions all smelled really unpleasant. We also found quite a lot of ants. Staff dealt with our concerns quickly and patiently, changing the pillowcases and comforter, but a strange smell remained. We also couldn't sleep well because other guests and/or their children were screaming in the hallway from after 10 pm until morning. That's understandably not the hotel's fault, but it's an FYI for guests with small children. Our stay was okay overall, with some good points, but the room condition and cleanliness need significant improvement.

The team made our birthday celebration feel special, and everything was well organized. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The venue was comfortable and elegant, a lovely place to celebrate with family and friends. Thanks to the team and Mr Rashid for making the day enjoyable. It was a memorable evening at Thistle Hotel yesterday.

There are lots of activities and a few restaurants at the resort, so once you check in, you can just stay on the hotel grounds and enjoy yourself. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the restaurant food was fresh and delicious. The room cleanliness needs improvement, though. We still had a good time there.
