Zitro Hotel

This is the best clean budget hotel ever, no awful moldy smell, and everything was tidy. The staff were very polite and helpful. I really recommend staying here, and I'll definitely come back to this hotel next time I'm in Port Dickson.

The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and enough space for one or two people. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were really friendly. The Wi-Fi stayed fairly steady, and shops and a mall were close by. There weren't any TV channels, though, and the door had no guard.

We couldn't sleep because of the Music Studio two buildings away. Music and singing, with people playing different instruments, went on from 22.00 pm until 2.00 am. My wife and I were upset by the noise around midnight, and it kept going. Our room faced the street, so there was no peace. I wouldn't want to return. It was an unpleasant experience and a waste of money. There were other problems too. Sewage smell hit us as soon as we opened the room door, and the bathroom smelled as well. The shower took 15 minutes of waiting before the water got hot. Water and shampoo foam flowed across the floor toward the nearby toilet, with nothing to stop it, so our feet kept getting soaked. The room had very few basics: no chair, tissues, cups or mugs, or kettle. The towels were old, though the sheets were okay. The air con was loud. Large gaps in the windows let lizards and cockroaches in, and we saw small cockroaches by the wash basin twice. Parking near the hotel meant getting up at 7.55 am to pay, then trying to sleep again, or risking a fine from the city hall employee. This tiny hotel offers only the bare minimum and nothing special.

The location and service were great, but the room left us feeling unsafe. The door had just one lock and no latch, so we put chairs against it. The walls were thin enough that we heard everything, including the couple next door having ***. We had to knock on the wall to get them to stop. There were a couple of little cockroaches in the toilet during our stay. The toilet itself was clean, but had some black fungus that seemed to be from not being cleaned properly. The sheets and towels were stained too. The room had potential, but quite a few things needed attention.
