We came in April and were the only guests on the island. The resort seemed to be run by people from the kampung, but there were no staff around. They shouldn't accept bookings when they have nothing ready for guests. Our room had bed bugs, and the pool was dirty and full of tadpoles. We spent three days mostly in bed. The buffet was another mess: they didn't know what we'd paid for and said food was only available in the afternoon. There was no snorkeling, and they wanted to sell us a $300 private boat trip to a small island for swimming. The black cat kept me company, and a pony appeared out of nowhere, which were the only things I loved. I'd spend the money elsewhere. Tioman would be better.

I've visited three times, in 2018, 2020, and 2024, and the latest stay left me disappointed with the food and the resort's maintenance. Both need a lot of improvement. I hope they work on that, since I'd like to return for a fourth visit. The staff are the resort's strongest point. They were warm and quick to help with room bookings, activities, and assistance during the stay. The setting is also peaceful, ideal for anyone wanting quiet and some time to themselves. There's a small village nearby with a clinic, school, mosque, and police station. The resort has a pool with a slide for children and adults, plus indoor options like board games and foosball and outdoor activities such as snorkeling, cycling, jungle trekking, and archery.

The room was good, and I really liked the staff, beach, pool, and slides. Everyone working there was very friendly. Cleanliness was a big letdown, though: the toilet and pool weren't clean, and the beach wasn't well maintained. For the food and facilities, the price felt too high. Bicycle rental was reasonable, RM75 for three bikes for the whole day and night.

We went in early July 2024 and had nice weather. The staff were friendly, and the room was simple, with air conditioning and a water heater in the shower. Phone coverage was surprisingly good out at sea, thanks to a transmission tower near the village. Some facilities weren't running: the mini zoo and playground were closed. The pool was open, though, and guests could use two of its three slides. Jungle trekking required at least five people.

A lovely, peaceful place, and the staff were friendly and responsible. My family had a really good time here. We'd consider coming back.
