The room was clean and smelled amazing when I checked in, and the hotel is affordable and comfortable. I stayed 4D3N. The check-in counter staff were friendly. There’s a deposit and a small fee to pay, I think it’s the FI KELESTARIAN. For room service or housekeeping, you have to ask at reception. I had one terrible night, though. A colleague asked the receptionist for a TV remote and gave her room number clearly. He said a tech staff member would bring it over. While I was in my room, a man in a yellow shirt tried to open my door without knocking. Luckily I had double locked it. He could have barged into my room while I was in nightwear and about to sleep. I told reception right away and asked if there was another room available, since I just wanted to move, but they said there wasn’t one. The receptionist explained that the man was one of their tech staff and had mixed up the room number. But how do you get the room number wrong, and why not knock and check if someone’s inside? Management should look into this and train the staff. The hotel is good overall, and the evening shift staff are friendly, but the girls on the morning shift are quite bland.

The hotel is near IOI Mall Putrajaya, with shops and restaurants around it. My room had no window, but the room and toilet were clean. It came with a refrigerator, kettle, safe box, water heater, and LED TV. The downside was that the air conditioning in Room 208 malfunctioned and the shower head was broken.

For a little over RM100, I thought Sovotel Putrajaya was a good deal for a short visit or a work trip. The room was a comfortable size and had the basics: hot water, air conditioning, TV, safe, fridge, towels, mineral water and a kettle. An iron was available in the shared area. There weren’t toiletries or coffee, but that didn’t bother me much. It’s easy to find food and convenience stores on foot, parking was simple at RM5 per entry, and I got a spot right outside. The receptionist was friendly, check-in went smoothly, and there was no deposit. Good for a quick stay, though I wouldn’t pick it for a relaxing staycation.

The location made sense for my solo business trip, and the room was pleasant and looked reasonably well cared for. I booked a twin room without windows, as the listing said, but it didn’t feel closed in. For one night, it was comfortable enough. A few things could use attention. The shower holder was broken and needed constant adjustment, while the water was only just warm. The bathroom had a slightly unpleasant smell if I left the ceiling fan running too long. The towels were worn, and I could have used more pillows. A practical choice for a short stay, with some small comfort fixes needed.

There are plenty of shops nearby, and I liked being able to head out easily. The mamak within walking distance was so good I went twice a day. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained, and the large shower room was a nice surprise for an entry-level room. For the price, it felt like a bargain. My room had no window, which was fine since I wasn’t spending much time in it. The Wi-Fi was so poor I couldn’t get much work done, and the FreeView channels kept lagging too. Parking costs RM5 a day, up to the maximum, and finding the right hotel parking area underneath can be confusing at first. Once you know where it is, it gets easier.
