Hotel Agro

We held a 60th birthday event here, and the price included decorations, the PA system, and the arrangements. Puan Ida at the front desk helped with the booking and event management, and she was friendly and very helpful. Look for her when you arrive, or contact her for future bookings. The hotel rooms are spacious and nice for families, and there's plenty of parking. Both the rooms and event area were clean, with no dusty smell. Highly recommended.

I had a very bad experience at Agro Hotel Raub. The receptionist was rude, questioned me even after I showed my IC, and made inappropriate comments about me and my girlfriend. The room was dirty and smelled bad, with burn marks, cigarette holes, weak air conditioning, and damaged walls. The stated compensation costs were ridiculous, RM50 for a towel and RM1000 for a hair dryer. Even the flower pots downstairs had price tags, like IKEA. Not worth the money, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I stayed one night in a twin room, then checked out while my brother stayed on for another night or two. The room was clean, and the shower and air conditioning both worked, which was all we needed for a rest after a long day. I noticed the owner had invested in quality appliances. Breakfast was included too. It wasn't perfect, but the stay was pleasant and gets a thumbs up from me.

The staff were friendly, parking was clean and spacious, and there's a large free parking area, though the local council may charge for its spaces. Our family room was small. I'd try another hotel next time unless there wasn't a choice. Avoid weekends or booking at the last minute, as prices can be high.
