We left without staying and canceled the booking right away. The room felt scary, with just one light in it and one in the bathroom, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. There weren’t even towels or toiletries. I’ve stayed at several budget hotels for work at the same price or a lower star rating, and they provided basic toiletries and clean, bright rooms, so I found that completely unacceptable. I was angry and disappointed, and asked for a full refund. I also complained to Agoda for help getting my money back. I’m sorry I booked this place. It was the worst and most terrifying hotel I’ve come across. The reviews I read didn’t seem true, and the pictures made the hotel look better than what we actually got. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for safety and cleanliness.

Last time I came, two years ago, it was great and had all the basic necessities. This visit was terrible. The first room hadn’t been made up, and the next one had a broken air conditioner. We went back and forth, and nobody apologized. The final room was decent but poorly kept, and there was no bottled water like before. It felt gross, and I’m left wondering whether they really change the bedsheets.

The sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and towel had yellow stains and smelled bad. They weren’t clean at all. We ended up using our own clothes and towels as bedding and pillow covers. I also wondered whether the owner pays for air conditioner maintenance. If so, they should change the service company. My husband and I had urgent work at the last minute yesterday and no other choice, but this was my first and last stay. We’ll look for somewhere farther from Bandar Country Home if it’s worth it. Owner, if you want to run a hospitality business, do it wholeheartedly.

On checkout my friend handed back the key, but we weren’t given the deposit. We left for Singapore without realizing it, and the front desk could have reminded us. I’d made a last-minute booking on arrival, and the price was higher than online. The room was badly kept: the toilet drain didn’t work, the white towels had yellow stains, there were cobwebs on the air conditioner and lots of stains on the sofa. The pillow was so soft it felt like there was nothing there.
