Redang Paradise Resort

The only thing I can call positive is the location, and that doesn't come close to making up for this place. The rooms were filthy and revolting, with giant cockroaches crawling around. Everything seemed old, broken, and neglected. The bathroom was foul-smelling and disgusting, as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The toilet was nearly unusable, with an unbearable sewage stench. The staff were kind and clearly trying their best, but the owner seemed shameless, squeezing every last penny from guests without integrity. The place felt like a health hazard and a total embarrassment. You'd be better off sleeping in a hammock outside. Avoid it, and don't make the same mistake we did.

We stayed at the resort early last month and enjoyed the holiday as a different kind of experience. We expected a basic resort, and the view and surroundings suited us. We could see the sunrise at about 7am. The food was good, and both the staff and boss provided good service.

The staff were mostly kind, friendly, and doing their best, and the resort is in a fantastic spot right by the beach. Sadly, the beach was piled with litter, and the rooms were dirty with rubbish everywhere. The beds had bed bugs, and the food was awful.

The beach was the one good part, with pristine white sand. Everything else felt poor for the money. The toilet was dirty, and the room door only had a doorknob lock. There was a latch mark on the door, so I believe it had a latch before. Bedbugs bit us all over, and rats ran across the ceiling all night.
