Icon Hotel Segamat

Our room faced another block, so the window didn’t offer a view. There’s a bar across the road, but we weren’t near it and heard no noise. The place looks recently renovated and felt clean and comfortable. It has its own parking lot, which I prefer to the shop-lot parking some hotels use. The air conditioning, refrigerator, and wardrobe were all there and in good condition.

Parking is available, though it’s uncovered, so rain or strong sun could make it inconvenient. There’s no café or breakfast, and that made the price feel a little high for a shop-lot hotel. Still, the room and toilet were clean and acceptable, the air conditioning worked well, and the room was well looked after. It’s a decent place if cleanliness matters most to you, though the value could be better with more amenities.

I booked the Japanese Suite Double Room and was happy with the price and service. It’s near eateries, and parking is free. The room was very clean. There was a kettle and cups in it, an iron outside the room, and all the necessary toiletries. The TV worked well and had basic channels.

I picked this place because I could walk to Hospital Sena Segamat, and didn’t expect much from a shop-lot hotel. The room was in great condition and much cleaner than I expected, which made the stay comfortable. Kudos to housekeeper named Rohani for the excellent work! Everything else was great, but the female front desk staff could improve her soft skills when speaking with guests.
