For RM80 to RM100, this is a budget hotel with a mid-range feel. I slept well, but cleanliness was only average. The white bedsheet had turned yellowish, maybe because it’s old and has been used for years. The front desk staff were friendly, though she kept preferring Chinese even when I spoke English. It felt like Chinese tourists were their focus. There were lots of Chinese decorations inside, and I guessed the owner might be Chinese too.

You get what you pay for. It’s an okay place if all you need is somewhere to crash at the end of the day. Our room had no air conditioner remote, and when we asked, they told us to get up and switch it off at the mains. The toilets on the third floor also had no water pressure.

The rooms were smelly and dirty, and the wooden doors were broken. I ran into staff who seemed dishonest and were rude. I felt unsafe, so I left straight away and moved to Sipadan Inn.

Right in the middle of town, with Milimewa, Mr DIY and food stalls nearby. The staff were friendly too. I’ll come back.
