Cooldive Semporna

The dives were a highlight, with clear water, lots of marine life, turtles and even a baby blacktip shark. Cooldive Semporna had everything running smoothly from beginning to end. The team were friendly and professional, and I felt comfortable with them throughout. The equipment was maintained well, the safety briefing was clear, and the guides knew good spots. They seemed to care about the experience and be passionate about diving. I’d recommend them for a fun, safe and memorable trip, and I’ll definitely come back.

I went on a guided dive with Cooldive, and the briefing was thorough. The guide was attentive and professional, so I felt safe and comfortable, and exploring the marine life underwater was breathtaking. The trip was well organized, and the boat was in excellent condition. The captain was very friendly and made it even more enjoyable with a great mix of 80s and 90s music. I’d recommend Cooldive for a fun, safe dive, and can’t wait to return.

Semporna has responsible dive companies, but sadly some operators are irresponsible. The other day I saw a COOLDIVE boat anchored in the reef along Mabul's Wall. The driver said he was sorry and had dropped the anchor in sand. But what happens when an anchor is dropped in a sand patch on a reef? It can drag until it catches something solid, like coral. Mabul's reefs are already badly damaged by operators dropping anchors in them. This one was anchored there so someone in a bikini could have photos taken in a clear kayak. Not cool. Avoid this operation and help protect the reefs.

I found them online while looking for fun dives in Semporna. They were professional, communicated clearly, and everything went by the book. Thanks for the experience. A special mention for Jaz, the boat master who looked after all our gear. He’s the heart of the operation, and kept the music going all day.
