Tempo Ext.

My first time staying in a cube, and it was really spacious, with clean, comfortable bedding, a high ceiling, light, curtains, and power points. The dorm was clean, the AC was powerful, and the staff were friendly. It’s right by the Jetty, restaurants, and fish market. They provide refillable drinking water, a towel, blanket, toilet paper, a locker, and a light breakfast, all very useful. There was no shampoo or soap, and we had some water issues during my stay. The staff were doing their best, and it seemed to affect the whole town. I had a great stay and highly recommend it!

My room was dirty, poorly maintained, and incredibly noisy, and it looked nothing like the photos. From arrival, the staff seemed unfriendly and unprofessional, and the business practices felt shady. I was charged unexpected fees that hadn’t been mentioned during booking. When I raised it, nobody offered real help, and the whole thing felt like a complete scam. I strongly advise against staying here. There are far more honest options, so avoid this place at all costs.

There were about 30 of us crowded into a small space, with no water or power and a toilet that wouldn’t flush. The floors were covered in urine, and I felt bed bugs crawling up my legs. In the morning, I complained and the staff just laughed. This was the worst night I’ve spent travelling in South East Asia. If I could give this accommodation a minus rating, I would. Avoid it at all costs. I stayed at Island Backpackers afterward and can recommend that place instead.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the location was great, and the AC worked well. Water ran out for 2 days because of the city’s water system. Breakfast was okay, but you had to get up early to find something, and coffee and tee weren’t included.
