The location worked well for the airport, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The complex backs onto the restaurant road, but there’s no gate there. You have to walk about 10 minutes out through the front security and around the block, instead of just a minute through a gate. I don’t mind the walk and understand another gate might need more security, but wanted others to know. There’s only one entrance, too. If you arrive by taxi, it drops you at security, then you have to walk around several towers to get to tower C, where we stayed. That was about a 3-5 minute walk with our bags and no shade. Self check-in and check-out were easy enough, with detailed instructions, and the security staff were friendly and helpful. We booked through Agoda, but didn’t get the unit shown in the photos. It had the same layout, but different furniture and walls, and the place wasn’t very good. A cupboard door was missing, bathroom fixtures were coming off the walls, and the rugs looked old and dirty. The beds weren’t bad, but I’m a stomach sleeper and found them too firm, so I slept poorly. The towels and sheets were clean, and the unit seemed clean, but it was old and tired, with little upkeep. Only the main room and master bedroom had AC. The other two bedrooms had ceiling fans. Either the hot water heater was broken or the water pressure was too low to set it off. I did switch the heater on, but the water wasn’t even lukewarm and the pressure was horrible. My showers are usually under five minutes. This one took 15 minutes while I tried to get all the soap off. For some reason, the bidet spray gun was sitting on the windowsill. It was fine for one night while waiting for our next flight, but I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone. We paid $50 CAD for the night, which felt too high after staying in much nicer places in Malaysia for about the same price. I would’ve given it 2.5 stars, but could only choose whole stars, and didn’t think it deserved a 3, so I gave it a 2.
