Night Queen Hotel

The service was terrible. They cancelled our booking at the last minute, even though I never stayed at the property. We were required to pay at the property, so they could apparently just cancel it. They never contacted us before cancelling. Poorest service!

We arrived late in the evening to find the concierge asleep at his desk. We felt bad waking him, and he was friendly enough when he gave us our key. Our room was by the stairs and smelled strongly of cigarettes and sweat. It was dirty too. When we went back down to complain, he laughed and said there were no other rooms available to switch to. He did at least change the sheets, though those had smelled of sweat and cigarette smoke too. In the morning, after several minutes and attempts to find help checking out, nobody was around to take the keys. We were rushing for our flight, so we had to leave them on the empty desk. We never got our deposit of around 50 ringgit back. Worst experience ever, can’t recommend this place.

Great room for the price, totally worth it. The water pressure was too weak, though, and water stopped coming out while I was showering. A bottle of mineral water and a fridge or heater would make the place even better.

There isn’t much nearby, but it’s about a five-minute drive to MCD and other places to eat. The hotel works well for a transit stop, and it’s improved a lot over the past year. The beds and sheets are new and good quality, the TV looks new too, and the staff are really friendly.
