OYO 44072 Mines Cempaka Hotel

The deluxe room had a good air conditioner, hot drinking water, a clean washroom, and a TV. I got it at a promotional price, and I did enjoy staying there. Still, I couldn’t sleep comfortably because the blanket was dusty, covered in long hairs, and had lots of cigarette burn holes. They should provide a new, clean one.

A cozy, small room that was okay for the price. The bathroom doors could be better, but again, it’s good for what you pay. Service was nice, and the middle aged lady was kind and got me anything I needed. The location was just right, though there wasn’t a convenience store outside.

There were fewer staff around at night, so it’s better to ask for everything you need while they’re available. The location was strategic near KLIA, with a convenience store downstairs, and my room was spacious and clean. I had a good stay.

Early check-in wasn’t available, which was okay, if a little disappointing. The price at check-in was a bigger problem. Booking showed 57RM with taxes included, but they charged us 77RM. Even after we showed the agreed price in the booking app, the person at the counter asked for 77RM. She didn’t speak English, so she called a colleague, who showed us a photo on her phone with the 77RM price and told us to pay. We showed the booking price again, but the colleague just walked away, leaving us with the employee who didn’t speak English. We paid 80RM and didn’t even get our 3RM change back. Charging more than the agreed amount is an instant one star for me.
