The room was spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The air-conditioning worked really well, keeping the room cool, though the shower pressure was weak. Breakfast had a decent range, but many dishes were heavy, oily, or spicy. I was glad to find cassava, a lighter choice that went nicely with the congee. The freshly made roti canai at the live station was tasty, but about an hour later it was replaced with pre-packed supermarket-style roti that was much harder and less enjoyable. We got there around 3:00 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until about 4:50 PM. We’d booked on the hotel website and told them our arrival time ahead of time. Staff said housekeeping was slow that day. We were already tired and dealing with migraines, so the long wait made for a rough start. The hotel offered tea-time cocktails while we waited, and staff did try to make things more comfortable with alternatives, which we appreciated. The bathroom was mostly clean and dry, but there were still marks on the mirror and glass shower door, and the facilities looked quite old. Humidity had started cracking some of the wood near the sink, and I got a small scratch in the morning from a splintered edge while brushing my teeth. I didn’t feel comfortable drinking from the bathroom’s filtered-water tap. The electric kettle looked dirty, perhaps because a previous guest had boiled milk tea in it. There were burn marks inside and leftover tea leaves stuck in the filter. The bed linens, thankfully, were clean and comfortable. Parking at the hotel is free.

It’s close to town and there’s lots of good food around. They’ve installed a drinking water filter, which is handy. The main issue for me was the pillow, so old and flat it felt more like a mattress than a pillow 😅😅. There was no refill of bath gel in my room, and the TV was old, small, and had a blurry picture.

The mattress was quite hard, and both my husband and I got backaches and didn’t sleep very well. Other than that, things were good. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and I was really satisfied with the service. Check-in was easy, with no deposit required, and finding our spacious deluxe double room was simple. The facilities listed when we booked were all there and worked well. The shower and toilet were clean, and there were extra pillows and slippers in the wardrobe, along with a safe for valuables. The pool is open from 4.30 pm to 6.45 pm, and Muslims can use it if they wear proper attire. Staff were very kind and helpful with directions. Breakfast was served at Level L. It was okay, nothing special. I’d give the place 4 out of 5 stars.

The ballroom is right next to another ballroom and isn’t soundproof, so it gets pretty noisy when the other one is occupied and people are loud. I stayed one night for work and didn’t have time to try the facilities, though they seemed good. The food was delicious, with plenty to choose from. My room was cozy and clean, and the staff were polite and friendly. It’s in the middle of town and easy to find, and the place felt comfortable overall.
