D Hotel Seri Iskandar

The rooms are huge, the water pressure is strong, and the staff are friendly. The location is very convenient, too. But the hotel is worn and dated, with the wear especially obvious in the corners. The toilet door in my room was rotting at the bottom. It isn’t cheap for what it is, either.

There are restaurants all around the hotel. We had to move rooms because the air conditioner wasn’t working, but that was okay since the maintenance guy was friendly and sorted it out efficiently.

The room was spacious, came with all the basic amenities, and felt like good value for money.

The location worked for me, near Seri Iskandar’s main area, with plenty of restaurants and gerai nearby for food. For a one-night stay it was okay, but the room was below average. It was clean, just don’t expect much. The bathroom door in my room wouldn’t close all the way, and the corridor smelled like the carpets had gotten wet and not dried properly. There’s wifi, but you have to ask at the counter. I called room service for the password and nobody picked up.
