Enrich Hotel Setia Alam by uBook

This was my first stay and maybe my last at enrich hotel. The first room they assigned us, Room 210, seemed haunted and had lots of noise from above. When we asked to cancel, the counter asked us to switch rooms. The second room was quieter, but still dirty. No one at the counter ever said sorry. There were no amenities or room heater. They only had a coway on the first floor, with no coffee or tea. When I asked, the counter said they didn't have coffee. I asked how that could be, since the price was higher than other hotels. He said their hotel had no star rating while other hotels did, and that their hotel was their hotel, so I shouldn't compare. It was a very stupid answer.

Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces. The room was another story: the bedsheet and comforter both had yellow stains, and the bathroom sink drained poorly. I asked the receptionist about the stains and was told they were just stains. I also requested room cleaning, but came back to find nothing had been done. I’ve stayed in plenty of budget hotels, and this was the worst. For over RM300 plus a deposit, the service was bad. At this rate, they should close the hotel.

The room itself had problems too: water was leaking, the toilet lid was partly broken, and the shower gel holder was broken. At check-in, we were told the deposit had to be paid in cash. We asked where we could withdraw money, and the receptionist said “over there.” My partner searched through the whole building and came back sweating, but there was no bank. We checked Google and found the nearest one was far away. The receptionist stayed seated and didn’t help us find a solution.

The facilities are basic, so don’t expect a luxury stay, but the price felt fair for what you get. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the staff were polite and quick to respond. They also gave us two small bottles of mineral water. There are plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance, and Setia City Mall is nearby. Check-in and checkout were smooth. The RM 50 cash deposit was returned easily when we checked out. Hotel Enrich Setia Alam worked well as a convenient base for a short break or business trip.
