Peladang Setiu Agro Resort

The room price is fairly cheap, and the view is breathtaking. I loved the activities on offer, and the food tasted good enough that we didn’t need to eat outside. I do think the bed sheet needs improvement, it didn’t feel that clean.

The lake view from the balcony is beautiful, and an early walk around the resort, around 6:00-7:00, is really nice. The cafe was quite basic and didn’t have much food. The room needs a lot of work. I arrived feeling fine, but after going in I got a flu, possibly an allergic reaction, and couldn’t sleep well. The bathroom smelled, there was a bundle of giant lizard eggs behind the closet, some already hatched, and the furniture was old and dusty. Good for visiting, but not for staying.

The view from my room was amazing, it felt like being at a resort in Sabah. The staff were polite and friendly, especially the receptionist. There was a pool, plus kayaking and zip lining for our family day with colleagues, when I stayed one night. I was disappointed with the room, though. It hadn’t been cleaned properly, with lots of black things such as lizard poop scattered around the toilet. The air conditioner also didn’t work well. I assume it was old, since I could feel cool air only at one spot, by the edge of my bed.

There are lots of outdoor activities here, and I enjoyed them during my three-day, two-night stay for an event. The place is nice for photos, and the food was delicious. The rooms need cleaner upkeep and better furniture.
