There were no TVs in the rooms, which made it easy to switch off and listen to nature. The staff were warm and showed real 'Terengganu hospitality,' and the breeze and sunrise views were wonderful, looking out between the sea and wetlands. Staying at Terrapuri Heritage Village felt like being in a living museum. Its 17th-century Terengganu palace-style houses are breathtaking, with history in the timber and craftsmanship of every villa. It's a rare chance to stay in a genuine heritage home. For history buffs, nature lovers, and photographers, it's a must-visit. A soulful, authentic experience unlike anywhere else in Malaysia.

The staff were all welcoming and friendly, especially Kak Wati, who was amazing and so helpful. The place was clean and comfortable. I'd happily come back!

Traditional village food was delicious, and the hospitality made the stay comfortable. Everything was clean and well equipped, so our daily activities were easy. There are lots of pretty spots for photos with friends and family, and the infinity pool among the greenery is stunning. Terrapuri Resort is a great choice if you want to experience the old Malay sultanate era. The wooden houses draw on noble heritage, and their classic interiors are captivating. With the gentle breeze from the South China Sea, it made for a delightful stay in Malaysia.

The rates are on the high side, but I felt the experience, atmosphere, and attention to detail were worth every ringgit. This feels like a cultural journey and a chance to recharge, and the management deserves credit for preserving such a treasure. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for peace, culture, and a little royal indulgence. For me, it's a 4.5-5 star stay. Terrapuri Heritage Village in Kampung Mangkuk feels magical, set along Terengganu's peaceful east coast. The resort brings heritage, nature, and luxury together in a way that's hard to find in Malaysia. Its roughly 20 beautifully restored wooden villas are each more than a century old, with their own theme and story. Staying in one feels like stepping into living history. The setting is quiet and scenic, facing the South China Sea. At sunrise, you can see the silhouettes of Pulau Bidong, Redang, Perhentian & Lang Tengah along the horizon. Though secluded, it's only a 5-minute drive to the popular Penarek area, known for celup tepung seafood stalls, with plenty of affordable, fresh seafood nearby.
